Synopsis

Detective Gabriel Serpent (Maxime Le Flaguais) is looking forward to some well-deserved time off. Instead, his vacation is abruptly cut short by a baffling discovery in the quiet town of Kingston Falls.

A body is found half-buried face-down in a field belonging to Hervé Lebrun (Guy Thauvette) — with its backside sticking out of the ground and a bicycle wheel wedged inside. It's a macabre, absurd crime scene far too bizarre for such a sleepy community.

With their local station facing imminent closure, Serpent and his tight-knit team of four officers are desperate to prove they can handle a high-profile homicide, rather than just tracking down the occasional runaway parrot. But their plans are thrown into chaos by the arrival of Cynthia Quinn (Marie-Ève Milot) — a brilliant but volatile investigator dubbed “The Bloodhound,” whose questionable methods and penchant for drinking threaten to turn the entire case upside down.
