Nationally, almost 26.9M Canadians (66%), watched the Games presented by CBC, TSN, Sportsnet, Sportsnet One, CBC News Network (+17% compared to Paris and +19% compared to Beijing).
During the Olympic period, CBC's audience share across the entire day (2 a.m. to 2 a.m.) was 21% which is 5x the 2025 results at the same time.

The Milano Cortina Games on CBC's digital platforms generated: over 63.9 million visits (+28% vs. Paris and +116% vs. Beijing), 214.8 million page views (+36% vs. Paris and +152% vs. Beijing), and 68.5 million video views (+25% vs. Paris and +202% vs. Beijing).
The success of our digital offering stems from the large growth on Gem. The go-to destination from the start of the competitions, Gem surpassed the results of the last Winter and Summer Games. It alone accounted for 67% of Olympic visits and 93% of video views.

Over 8.2 million Ind 2+ tuned in to the Milano Cortina Olympic Opening Ceremonies presented on February 6, 2026 on CBC, CBC NewsNetwork, TSN Sportsnet, or Sportsnet One. This was 39% higher than Paris and 173% higher than the Beijing Opening Games.

Over 5.8 million Ind 2+ tuned in to the Milano Cortina Olympic Closing Ceremonies presented on February 22, 2026 on CBC, CBC NewsNetwork, TSN Sportsnet, or Sportsnet One.
