Every New Year's Eve, one commercial becomes the campaign everyone talks about. Why shouldn't it be yours?
Every New Year's Eve, one commercial becomes the campaign everyone talks about. Why shouldn't it be yours?
On New Year's Day, before the first cup of coffee is even poured, the conversation is already underway: “Did you see that sketch?” “Did you catch that commercial?” The Bye Bye isn't just a TV show — it's a cultural phenomenon that Quebecers debrief over breakfast, at the office and across social media the next morning.
Last year, Bye Bye 2025 drew a confirmed audience of 4,057,000 viewers — capturing an extraordinary 88% market share.*
Few broadcast events bring together such a massive audience all at once with that level of undivided attention.

What if your ad was the one on everyone's mind this year?
That's what the Bye Bye de la pub is all about. Returning for its ninth year, this competition — exclusive to Bye Bye advertisers — puts the power in the public's hands to decide which commercials stole the show. Last year, viewers cast a record-breaking 123,652 votes, proving just how deeply audiences connect with brands that dare to stand out.

For nine years, the Bye Bye de la pub competition, presented by CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions, has celebrated and rewarded the bold creativity of local agencies and brands. Often dubbed Quebec's Super Bowl for its sheer scale and reach, the Bye Bye airs on New Year's Eve on ICI TÉLÉ and streams live and on demand on ICI TOU.TV — offering an unmatched showcase for advertisers.

From January 1 to 5, 2027, the public will vote for their three favourite commercials to crown the competition's grand prize winners.
“With the Bye Bye de la pub, we're witnessing a true renaissance of advertising as a form of cultural expression. These campaigns don't just sell products and services — they tell our story, celebrate our values and capture the essence of what brings us together.”
