Synopsis

At 41, Simone breaks free from the seemingly “perfect” Toronto life she once led. She sheds the mould that no longer fits her to pursue her real passion: providing help and guidance to a colourful cast of clients using her trusty tarot deck and her skills as a therapist. Simone quickly learns that changing her lifestyle is way more complicated than she thought. She struggles to adapt to her new reality as a “part-time mom” to a pre-teen who won't accept the separation, as her mother constantly questions her life choices, her ex has already moved on, her sex life is non-existent and her new profession isn't bringing in nearly enough money.

To top it all off, she's receiving signs from the invisible realm and is visited by spirits — starting with her deceased aunt who likes to drop in unannounced to try and guide her. Fortunately, Simone doesn't give up. She can count on the unwavering support of her best friend, Kazem — a mattress salesman by day, drag queen by night —and, by extension, the support of her clientele, who challenge her perspective and aid in her personal growth. Will Simone succeed in changing her life? Or maybe just living it fully?
