TD’s mission is to make people more confident, not just in their finances, but also their future. By supporting early-childhood learning initiatives, the bank helps create conditions in which all children will have a better chance of reaching their full potential.

The centrepiece of the partnership’s eighth year was the TD Canadian Children’s Literature Awards, the nominees for which were announced in September. Several initiatives followed: presence in schools and libraries, donation of shortlisted books, 300 minutes of radio air time and a contest.

In the end, the initiative had over 38 million impressions and reached one in every three Canadian children.
