The Great Canadian Baking Show is the homegrown version of hit baking competition The Great British Bake Off. Based on the British format, the series brings together ten amateur bakers from across Canada to compete in a series of themed culinary challenges.
Each week, the competitor who shows the most skill, creativity and finesse will be named Star Baker, while the weakest will be sent home until only three finalists are left vying for the Great Canadian Baking Show title. The show announced new hosts for its fourth season, Ann Pornel and Alan Shane Lewis.
Fridge Wars is a culinary competition that pits celebrity chefs against each other with the challenge of creating extraordinary meals using only the ingredients taken from the ordinary fridges of Canadian families.
Each week, two randomly selected families are surprised at their home and are transported to the exclusive Fridge Wars studio where the chefs face off against each other.
Jamie Oliver, chef and restaurateur, is known for his approachable cuisine which he shares with audiences through several television programs that are coming to CBC.
