At 44, Mathieu Laforest (Pierre-François Legendre) is a perennial man-child. Divorced from Ariane (Madeleine Péloquin) — who has long since moved on with the sensible and dependable Jean (Guillaume Girard) — he's painfully aware that his life hasn't turned out the way he planned. Instead of achieving the greatness he always envisioned, he finds himself stuck working at the family car dealership. To make matters worse, his father (Louis-Georges Girard) chose to pass the reins of the business to his brother, Pascal (Alexandre Goyette), a golden-boy former NHL star. It's no wonder that Mathieu, consciously or not, has made self-sabotage his favourite pastime.
The fifth and final season of Plan B blends humour and drama to explore the deeper meaning of our time on earth. Ultimately, Mathieu's poignant journey forces viewers to confront a fundamental question: What would we change if we could, when faced with the one thing none of us can evade — our own mortality?
