Synopsis

At a restorative justice center, Bérénice works with people who are victims of crime, or who have committed it, to encourage dialogue between them and repair the harm done. Her aim: to help these deeply wounded people turn a traumatic page in their history, so that they can better enjoy their present and future.

Bérénice chose her profession for a reason. 25 years ago, she and her best friends were forever scarred by a brutal attack at a college end-of-year party. One was killed, another left a quadriplegic. The culprit was paroled after serving a 23-year life sentence and is back in their lives. Berenice hopes to mediate with him, but will she be able to convince her friends?

In the course of the ensuing discussions, confrontations and shocking encounters, well-kept secrets come to light... Trust between the friends is severely shaken, while one big question remains: can we really believe in the rehabilitation of a murderer?
