l'auberge du chien noirMonday, 8 p.m.* Writers : Sylvie Lussier and Pierre Poirier L'Auberge du chien noir is a family saga with multiple storylines. The central family, the Trudeaus, own and operate a small hotel with the help of employees they've come to regard as friends and associates over the years. Family remains the show's central theme. This clan's members have tentacles, and they're always sticking their nose in where it doesn't belong – but still, they're there for each other when the going gets tough. Patriarch Marc Trudeau is a warm soul who's also a great unifier – the hotel's characters live life to the fullest, firm in the knowledge that someone will always be there to catch them if they fall or set them straight if they flounder. Music adds a special dimension to the show, as we occasionally see cast members performing as artists in the hotel bar. That has spun off two real-life groups – the wonderful Les Westerners and Le Caboose Band. Filled with humour, warmth, friendship and authentic characters brought to life by a talented cast, each week L'Auberge du chien noir serves up an hour of sure-fire entertainment.
