Because News is Canada's funniest news quiz. Each week, host Gavin Crawford makes games out of the headlines with help from three of Canada's best-loved comedians.

While the news can be dark and dispiriting, Because News aims to be informative and playful to keep people from screaming into the void. And Gavin’s celebrated parody skills are put to good use, as he regularly performs ‘news clues’ - such as Altered Lyrics, or Fake Movie Trailers.
