The countdown is on!

Reach a captive, engaged audience during the TV event of the year and show off your top advertising creatives for a chance to win up to $75,000 in media visibility. Following the record-breaking success of Bye Bye 2023, which was the most-watched program in the history of French-language TV in Canada, our partners are eagerly awaiting this seventh edition of the Bye Bye de la Pub competition! Expectations are running high, and there's every indication huge audiences will be back to watch on New Year's Eve 2024.

Are you up for the challenge?

Here's what you'll need to know about the competition so your creative teams can take up the challenge and deliver original, engaging commercials that will wow viewers during Radio-Canada's must-see New Year's Eve TV programming.

Competition winners will be announced January 9, 2025, on the competition website and in a news release.

*Winners may not transfer their prize to another commercial advertiser, except for non-profits and foundations approved by Radio-Canada.

RESTRICTIONS ON PRIZES: Values based on rate-card pricing. CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions is responsible for selecting the programs (schedule) based on avails. Includes all Radio-Canada platforms. Inventory guaranteed, but movable. April, May, September and October excluded. CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions reserves the right to exclude some programs from this offer. Campaigns must air by December 25, 2025.

Entry Requirements

  • Brandsell of 15 or more seconds, including 30-second brandsells broken into three 10-second segments, purchased with network reach during the original or repeat broadcast of Bye Bye 2024.
  • 100% original creative (not broadcast in previous competitions).
  • Limit of one entry per brand.
    If an advertiser has multiple creatives for the same brand, these must be edited together into a single video for submission to the audience vote.
  • All advertisers must complete the entry form by October 11, 2024, to confirm their participation in the competition.
  • Co-branded creatives (contests, sponsored evening lineups) are not eligible.
  • If the advertiser runs different creatives in Bye Bye 2024's original and repeat broadcasts, only the brandsell presented during the original broadcast will be included in the competition.
  • Contracts for talent appearing in commercials must be valid through the end of the competition.

  1. #1 CLEAR: Email your material to Radio-Canada Advertising Standards at codepub@radio-canada.ca.
  2. #2 DELIVER: Deliver your commercial material and broadcast instructions according to the usual procedure.
  3. #3 PROMOTE VOTING: Email all promotional items to byebyedelapub@radio-canada.ca for approval prior to publication. Send an email to byebyedelapub@radio-canada.ca confirming how many creatives will be included in your campaign.
  4. #4 COMPETITION MICROSITE: If you want to provide your own thumbnail for the campaign on the competition microsite, email a 16:9 image (1920x1080 px) in JPG or PNG format, without any text or logo, to byebyedelapub@radio-canada.ca ;
  5. #5 BE READY FOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Complete the form to list your campaign credits and provide a short text explaining why you were interested in entering the competition, why you enjoy working with us or what the competition means for your brand.
