Driven by Floyd Kane, a graduate of Dalhousie Law School in Halifax with extensive industry experience, Diggstown is the first primetime drama centred around a Black-Canadian female lead.
Envisioned as a CBC-wide project, Being Black In Canada highlights the stories and experiences of Black Canadians from across the country in one digital space.
Produced by Tamika Forrester, the project showcases Black-Canadian stories in a range of different forms including radio interviews, documentaries, podcasts and in-depth digital articles.
Hosts Isabelle Racicot and Martine St. Victor live in a bilingual Canada with a finger on a global pulse.
In their podcast, they tackle what's brewing in media and pop culture with the help of their renowned guests. A new season begins on August 27.
