Synopsis

Emergency physician Bernard Fontanille travels the globe, introducing us to the men and women who care for others, save lives, and sometimes even invent new methods for treating patients and relieving pain. He also examines the fundamental role that ancestral medicines continue to play in many cultures around the world. Through his encounters with these people and their practices, we not only learn about different facets of the countries he visits, but also about the universal bond that unites patients and caregivers, the required trust between them, and the human side of medicine.
