Synopsis

Follow the exceptional life and times of Maria Montessori, the first woman in Rome to receive a degree in medicine. Combating the misogynist mores of the day, she managed to specialize in child psychiatry by taking an interest in the lot of abandoned children at orphanages. She decided to save those who were able to go to school, and in the process developed a revolutionary alternative to traditional care – education.​ (4 episodes)
