Bye Bye de la pub 2025: Local creativity celebrated by the public

December 17th 2025, Montreal — For the eighth consecutive year, CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions has come together with creative and ad agencies to capitalize on the biggest night in Québec television by launching the Bye Bye de la pub, an incentive for agencies and advertisers to showcase their best work. Viewers will be able to vote for their three favourite commercials amongst those presented during the iconic Bye Bye 2025 broadcast, airing December 31 on ICI TÉLÉ.

A true cultural institution since 1969, Bye Bye remains one of the most anticipated television events of the year. Last year, Bye Bye 2024 drew a confirmed audience of 4,171,000 viewers and captured a 92% market share*. Organized by CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions, the Bye Bye de la pub—which received 115,707 votes last year—turns this festive evening into a creative playground where brands compete boldly to win over audiences.

A podium shaped by the public

Remaining faithful to its format, the Bye Bye de la pub competition continues to recognize three winners. What's new this year is the expanded role of the public, who are now invited to vote for their top three favourite commercials, rather than selecting a single winner.

“Year after year, creatives push the boundaries of imagination for this legendary night. By allowing the public to establish the entire podium, we’re strengthening their role in recognizing this creative energy and offering an even more meaningful showcase for local talent,” said Patricia Châteauneuf, General Manager, Multiplatform Media Sales, Quebec, CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions.

Putting the public in the driver's seat

From January 1 to 4, 2026, audiences will be able to vote at Radio-Canada.ca/concours-byebye-pub-2025. Canadian participants will have a chance to win a $1,000 gift card from a retailer of their choice. The three selected advertisers will, in turn, benefit from increased media exposure.
