Bye Bye de la pub 2025: The Verdict Is Approaching After a Memorable Evening

January 6th, Montreal – The magic was in full force on December 31. The ads competing in Bye Bye de la pub 2025 captured the audience's attention, striking a perfect balance between humour, emotion, and creative boldness. From January 1 to 4, viewers stepped into the role of jury, voting for their top three favourite ads, for a record total of 123,652 votes cast.

For more than 50 years, Radio-Canada's New Year's Eve broadcast has brought francophone families together around a one-of-a-kind television tradition. Preliminary data confirm that audiences once again showed up in force:

  • Radio-Canada's New Year's Eve programming reached a total of just over 5 million French-speaking Quebecers on December 31 and January 1.*
  • Bye Bye 2025, broadcast on December 31, drew a preliminary audience of over 2.6 million viewers and achieved an 87.5% share. Among adults aged 25-54, the program attracted 970,000 viewers, and its market share climbed to 91.3%.
  • The original broadcast of Infoman 2025 recorded excellent results, with a preliminary average audience of over 2.2 million viewers and a 79% share of French-speaking Quebecers' television viewing. Among adults aged 25-54, the show attracted 757,000 viewers, and its audience share climbed to 83.5% (+1.5 points compared to last year).
  • Aired at 7 p.m., En direct du jour de l'An recorded a preliminary audience of nearly 1.9 million viewers (73.4% share). The market share climbed to 75.1% among 25-54 year olds, up +1.3 points compared to last year.
  • Viewers also tuned in to Les coulisses d'En direct du jour de l'An, which drew a preliminary audience of 1.5 million viewers (66.2% share).
  • Les coulisses du Bye Bye attracted nearly 1 million viewers and garnered a 74.1% market share. The market share climbed to 79.4% among 25-54 year olds.
