7th Edition
December 17, 2024, Montreal
The countdown is on for the 7th edition of Bye Bye de la pub, a competition inviting the public to vote for their favourite commercials aired during the iconic year-end show, Bye Bye 2024. Now a cherished holiday tradition, this creative event celebrates the ingenuity and boldness of CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions' business partners.
Much like the Super Bowl in the United States, the Bye Bye, airing on December 31 on ICI TÉLÉ and ICI TOU.TV,, has become the ultimate showcase for local creative talent. Once again, the Bye Bye de la pub competition brings together numerous brands and advertisers, who leverage the evening's prominence to connect with audiences. Public voting to select their favourite ads will be open from January 1 to 5, 2025, on the Radio-Canada.ca/concours-byebye-pub-2024 website.
“Every year, audiences eagerly await the commercials featured in the Bye Bye de la pub competition, captivated and entertained by their exceptional quality. For advertisers, it’s the perfect opportunity to stand out to an engaged and receptive audience. Making a mark during this iconic evening guarantees unforgettable visibility,” says Patricia Châteauneuf, Executive Director, Multiplatform Media Sales, Quebec at CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions,
A one-of-a-kind event, the Bye Bye de la pub contest lets the public act as the jury. Participating Canadian residents will have a chance to win a $1,000 gift card from a local business of their choice. For advertisers, the first-place winner will receive $75,000 in media visibility, offering an exceptional opportunity to shine on the national advertising stage.
