Bye Bye de la pub

Back for an exciting fourth year

Bye Bye de la pub 2021

PRESS RELEASE

BYE BYE DE LA PUB
IS BACK FOR AN EXCITING FOURTH YEAR!

In its fourth year, Radio-Canada's Bye Bye de la pub 2021 competition continues to be a big hit with advertisers, who continue to challenge their creative teams to deliver original, engaging commercials that will wow viewers during the must-see TV event of the year — New Year's Eve on Radio-Canada.

The competition website, Radio-Canada.ca/concours-byebye-pub-2021 , is now online and will be the destination for viewers to re-watch and vote for their favourite ad campaigns. Videos of the participating campaigns will be posted on January 1, 2022, with the original ad airing during the live broadcast on New Year's Eve.

A promotional campaign for the competition has been launched across all Radio-Canada platforms and networks. Advertisers are encouraged to share these initiatives and help get out the vote.

Patricia Châteauneuf, Executive Director of Multiplatform Sales, Montreal and Eastern Canada, CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions, wanted to take the competition to the next level this year and provide an outstanding showcase for the creative excellence of homegrown talent. “We're focusing on commercials that will be seen for the first time on New Year's Eve. It will be a fun night of friendly, creative competition — you could call it our Super Bowl of advertising — and will generate great visibility for advertisers.”
