7th Edition
January 9, 2025
The Bye Bye de la pub competition, organized by CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions, reached new heights in its 7th edition, with a record 115,707 votes cast. This year's results saw Mondou take first place, followed by Les Producteurs de lait du Québec (PLQ) in second and Metro in third.
Hisham Ghostine, General Manager & Chief Revenue Officer for CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions, is thrilled with the calibre of this edition. "Once again, the Bye Bye de la pub competition demonstrates that advertising can go beyond its commercial role. It becomes a true art form, an expression of our culture, emotions, and shared values. The excitement surrounding this competition is undeniable, generating notable impact. Congratulations to the winners, as well as the agencies and advertisers who participated."
The Bye Bye team, including producer Guillaume Lespérance, content producer Simon-Olivier Fecteau, and all the artists involved, once again enabled the public to end the year on a festive note!
Here's what the winning advertisers had to say:
"As a proud Quebec family business with a rich history, returning to the Bye Bye is an incredible honour for us. To then be chosen by the public as the top pick makes it even more rewarding, knowing we stood out during this iconic end-of-year event. This recognition inspires us to keep pushing boundaries and to maintain our special connection with pet parents."

"New Year's Day is a classic time for making resolutions, and food often takes centre stage. In our ads, Metro shines a light on these well-meaning resolutions that, let's be honest, rarely last long. Set against a backdrop of humourous New Year's Eve vignettes, relatable characters share their resolutions with conviction and a touch of humour, blissfully unaware that they're easier said than done. Eating more vegetables? Packing lunches for work? Cutting out snacks between meals? Quebecers are sure to see themselves in at least one of these good intentions. As the main sponsor of this iconic end-of-year television event, Metro reminds us that, resolution or not, Manger, c'est la vie (eating is life). The brand celebrates the joy of coming together over good food—a warm and unifying way to kick off 2025 while honouring the pleasures of eating well."
