Synopsis

Antoine (François Bellefeuille), the owner of the Magdalen Islands' only veterinary clinic, is in the midst of a sabbatical — one that his partner, Kim, views as a textbook mid-life crisis. Spurred by her ultimatum to get out of the house and find a hobby, Antoine enters a contest and unexpectedly lands a gig hosting the local drive-time radio show. But his long-harboured dream of stardom quickly backfires, putting a strain on his domestic life and throwing his practice's delicate team dynamics into chaos under his replacement, Dr. Hélène Paradis.

Meanwhile, the rest of the island faces its own share of drama. Jean-Philippe, Kim's brother and the newly minted owner of the local seafood processing plant, finds himself falling for Rémy, a local fisherman — his first real romance in 20 years. Elsewhere, Stéphane and Danielle are happily planning their wedding, until Stéphane's overbearing and eccentric mother, Annette, barges in to disrupt their plans. Armed with threats, superstitious rituals and a fierce obsession, she is hellbent on securing a granddaughter to carry on the family lineage. At the same time, Armand risks his professional licence in a high-stakes battle with the regulatory board. Can he save his career, even with Léa back in his corner?

When unexpected circumstances force Antoine to return to work, Kim steps up to replace him behind the mic. Much to the delight of the station manager, Manon, Kim becomes an overnight radio sensation — sparking a bitter rivalry that puts the couple's partnership to the ultimate test.
