Synopsis

Six months after his electoral defeat, life is finally looking up for Antoine. His home and his clinic are a picture of stability — until the grand opening of the new Jolivet clinic. Owned by none other than Doctor Jolicoeur, this trendy, high-tech veterinary centre is an instant hit, drawing all the clientele from the Islands. Antoine becomes obsessed with the competition, letting his rivalry with Jolicoeur consume him.

Meanwhile, his staff is coming apart at the seams. Desperate for a child, Danielle channels her longing into a chaotic obsession with rescuing animals. Stéphane must choose between staying on as a regular employee or leaving the Islands for good. Armand is tempted to jump ship to Jolivet but has relapsed into drug use, causing Léa to miss work to care for him.

Antoine also discovers that his daughter, Kim, feels more isolated on the Islands than she lets on.
