He was known as the “baby whisperer” and “sperm king.” For nearly three decades starting in the 1970s, Dr. Norman Barwin was the most sought-after fertility specialist in Canada, consulted by people from across the country desperate to start a family. They were later horrified to learn that their child had been conceived using sperm from their miracle doctor himself or from donors they hadn't chosen.
