Synopsis

Both inviting and topical, Casa Nova turns the camera on green construction, eco-architecture, and planet-friendly building techniques. To describe this as a magazine show very much of its time would be an understatement! Some will strive for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification; others will meet Quebec's Novoclimat standards. Some will use solar energy and/or be geothermally heated; still others will be made of recycled materials or from a sustainable-development perspective. The buildings of the future will be ecologically responsible, and Casa Nova explores that not-so-distant future (that's anything but science fiction).
