CBC / Radio-Canada gathers media leaders and experts in inspiring and engaging talks with Canada's top brands

CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions

November 7, 2016 – Over 200 industry leaders are expected to gather at the CBC/Radio-Canada headquarters in Toronto and Montreal this week for the annual Media Forum. This event is the latest initiative for the CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions team as they continue to re-define themselves as an innovative thought-leader in the industry.

The Media Forum brings together internationally renowned speakers to talk about the changing media landscape and discuss key issues affecting the media industry. This year, the Media Solutions team, led by general manager and chief revenue officer Jean Mongeau, invited UK-based Digital Transformation Consultant Dean Donaldson, CROP Vice-President Céline Berre, and New York-based EVP & Head of Innovation at Zenith, Tom Goodwin.

In his presentation, Donaldson will explore the evolution of television and pose thought provoking questions to the crowd of senior industry leaders on how to think smarter about TV, what to expect from TV in the future, and the new technologies that could excite TV viewers.

Berre, Vice-President at CROP, a Quebec-based Market research firm, will provide a custom analysis of consumer trends and behaviours in both the Quebec market and in English Canada, through data obtained through CROP's Panorama program, a large-scale study which has been monitoring the evolution of Canadians' social and consumer values for over 30 years.

Goodwin, recently named the EVP and Head of Innovation at Zenith, will discuss different trends we are seeing that will reimagine advertising for the post-digital age.

“Our team of experts are constantly striving to come up with innovative solutions for our partners, and our three incredible speakers at this year's Media Forum embody innovation, transformation, and disruption” says Jean Mongeau, general manager and chief revenue officer, CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions. “We are proud to be able to create an annual opportunity for our valued partners to learn about evolving consumer behavior and the changing media environment, along with members of our own team, from top industry experts from around the world.”

The Media Forum is taking place in Toronto on November 8th and in Montreal on November 9th. Presentations and videos will be posted following the events on the Media Solutions website.
