January 31st, 2017 – CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions welcomed over 160 IOC and COC client and agency partners to Studio 40 to officially begin the Olympic Games broadcast sales period with an immersive, impactful, and engaging presentation hosted by CBC Sports' Scott Russell.
The Partner Summit included impressive floor to ceiling custom projections, South Korean influenced food and décor, and high-energy videos and presentations that highlighted the role of CBC & Radio-Canada in bringing the Olympic Games to Canadians. The event also provided relevant information to prospective partners on how working with CBC & Radio-Canada will help them reach their business objectives.
The purpose of the event was to:
- Build excitement for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games on CBC/Radio-Canada with IOC Top and COC official partners
- Highlight key learnings from Sochi 2014 & Rio 2016 and share how these have shaped our PyeongChang strategy
- Share our CBC/Radio-Canada Olympic Games promise and vision
- Present our commercial offer to all IOC/COC partners simultaneously
The event was a huge success, and was a collaborative effort between Media Solutions, CBC Sports, Radio-Canada Sports, CBC Communications, and the Toronto Production Centre.
