DANS L'OEIL DU DRAGON Christiane Germain and Caroline Néron on board for season six

ICI Radio-Canada Télé

Wednesday, October 5, 2016 – Two respected businesswomen are joining the panel for season six of DANS L'OEIL DU DRAGON, which premieres in spring 2017 on ICI Radio-Canada Télé. Christiane Germain and Caroline Néron will judge alongside returning Dragons Martin-Luc Archambault, Serge Beauchemin and Gilbert Rozon.

Christiane Germain is co-founder and co-president of Groupe Germain Hôtels, a family-run business that now boasts 13 properties in five provinces. She also oversees operations and marketing for all of the group's hotels. Together with her brother and co-president, Jean-Yves Germain, she has guided the Le Germain Hotels and Alt Hotels chains to remarkable growth, with plans to operate a network of 20 hotels across Canada by 2020. Through her outstanding entrepreneurship, innovative thinking and ability to anticipate consumer tastes and trends, Ms. Germain has managed to build one of the most dynamic hotel groups in the country.

It was in 2004 that Quebec TV, film and music star Caroline Néron decided to turn her passion for jewelry and accessories into a thriving business. She enlisted the help of a designer to create her first jewelry collection, which debuted in a department store. In 2008, during Montreal Fashion Week, her idea to transform the traditional fashion show into an entertainment event earned her a standing ovation. The first time she brought her spectacular show to Toronto, critics described it as the “Victoria's Secret of Jewelry!” After only 10 years, her company had 20 retail stores and a hundred multibrand boutiques around the world. She later expanded her product line to include leather handbags and sunglasses and, in spring 2015, launched a new store concept that reflects the brand's “Glamour with a bohemian spirit” to a tee.

Christiane Germain and Caroline Néron join the following impressive group of Dragons:

Martin-Luc Archambault is a dynamic angel investor who finances innovative companies through MLA Ventures. His initiatives have included the technology incubator Bolidea, which gave birth to the agile project management tool Planbox and the successful social search engine Wajam. He received an Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012.

Serge Beauchemin co-founded 3-Soft, a leading light of Quebec's IT sector that underwent dramatic expansion. He is currently president of Groupe Créacor.

Gilbert Rozon is founding president of Groupe Juste pour rire, the world's biggest comedy festival, and has also diversified into TV production, live shows and talent management. He is the commissioner of celebrations for Montreal's 375th anniversary in 2017.

The Dragons not only provide savvy and colourful comments and advice, but at the end of the day they might invest up to $1 million in the best ideas and projects pitched by the contestants, who are entrepreneurs of all ages hailing from all walks of life, all across the country. The shrewd, demanding and innovative dragons leverage their experience and success for the benefit of both contestants and viewers.
